APPROVAL OF THE SARASOTA HIGH SCHOOL JROTC FIELD TRIP TO APPALACHIAN TRAIL, SUCHES, GEORGIA, ON JUNE 21, 2010 THROUGH JUNE 28, 2010
Description
This is an annual trip which allows cadets to put skills into practice that are taught as part of the JROTC curriculum. These skills include small unit leadership, land navigation and terrain recognition. The trip will include other educational endeavors and a tour of the Georgia Military College.
Recommendation
That the Sarasota High School JROTC field trip to Appalachian Trail, Suches, Georgia, on June 21, 2010 through June 28, 2010, be approved.
